Lately I've been scouring Craigslist since Zack just moved in to our duplex.  Both he and I have always lived in apartments so things such a washers, dryers, and lawn mowers were either not needed or provided.  I found some great deals so I wanted to share.

I have a 40" Sony Bravia mounted on the wall of my apartment right now.  We decided that it would be used as a living room TV.  Zack wanted to find a 37" TV to last until I move in and then it can be used in the bedroom.  Well plans changed...

 

I found this 46" Sony Bravia on Craigslist for $500.  It is currently being sold at $1300.

Another necessity is the washer and dryer.  These boys can get stinky so this one was pretty vital.  I once again turned to Craigslist.  I swear I was on Craigslist for everyday for a month for all of this stuff.

We got this set for $350.  One is Whirlpool and the other is Maytag.  They are a year old and are around $500-600 a piece.  Bonus: they came with hoses and the guys delivered them and then helped set them up.

Part of our wish list was a fenced-in backyard for Madison.  Although it was obviously neglected and needs some watering, Madison loves it so far.  I looked through Craigslist for a lawn mower and ended up finding a mower/edger combination for sale.

A girl in College Station bought these a year ago and used them a couple of times before she decided to just hire a lawn service.  They were $135 together.  The mower sells for $200 and the edger for $100.  We really hadn't even thought about getting an edger but now that we have one, we're really glad we do for around the fence and neatly edging in the front.
